Move for Health campaign

Move for Health encourages people to improve their health and wellbeing by taking regular exercise and increasing their levels of physical activity.

Member champions

Are you a CSP member and keen to act as an advocate for Move for Health? Login to the site now and find out how to become one of our champions.

Physiotherapists recommend that adults exercise at moderate intensity for 30 minutes, 5 times a week, and that children are physically active for an hour every day.

If you don't have time for a 30 minute session of exercise each day, it may suit you better to break it up into three or four smaller chunks. Just being a little more active throughout the day can benefit your health.

Move for Health Kids

From September 2009 the CSP's Move for Health campaign focuses on the benefits of physical activity for children.

For Move for Health Kids, the CSP is working in partnership with the British Dietetic Association (BDA). On 23 September, 'Healthy Schools Day' events were held across the UK, with chartered physiotherapists and dieticians going into primary schools together to give advice to teachers, parents, carers and children on exercise and healthy eating for kids.

See more on our Move for Health Kids page.
