CSP Awards 2010

CSP Awards are given annually to individuals deserving special recognition for their contribution to services and the well being of patients.

The fourth annual ceremony takes place at the Hotel Russell, London, 12th November 2010. The categories are:

  • Enhancing self care and independent living.
  • Rethinking the patient care pathway for long term conditions.
  • Enhancing occupational health and keeping people "fit for work".
  • Achieving excellence in learning, teaching, development or mentorship.

Awards for 2009 were given in London on 16 November in a ceremony opened by CSP president Baroness Finlay.

The winners were:
  • Physiotherapist of the Year (nominated by patients): Halina Baker and Sarah Pickles (joint winnners). Dionne Moat was runner up.
  • Physiotherapist of the Year (nominated by professionals): Nicola Hunter. Kirsten Hart and Rachel Wilson were both runners up.
  • Outstanding Newcomer of the Year (maximum of 18 months post qualification): Laura Goldie.
  • Support Worker of the Year (associate member of the CSP): Danielle Freeth. Laura Thomson was runner up.

The 2009 awards were sponsored by Elsevier, worldwide publishers of science and health information.
