Personal Injury Services

CSP members benefit from a free personal injury scheme that covers any personal injury. Your relatives can also access the personal injury service but for non-work related personal injury claims only. Thompsons' success rate in personal injury cases is over 98 per cent.

CSP members should call Thompsons freephone number (0800 587 7519) in order to start a compensation claim following any accident, whether it occurred at or away from work. Any such claim should be made immediately as there are strict time limits in place to make any personal injury claim. Thompsons will keep the relevant ERUS officer informed of details of any claims.

Road Traffic Accidents

You and members of your family are entitled to free legal assistance in pursuing a compensation claim for any injury sustained on the roads, whether as a driver, passenger (including public transport), pedestrian or cyclist.

Holiday injuries

CSP members and their families can access free legal advice for any accident abroad. Where it is possible to pursue a claim through the courts in the UK (which is the case with most package holiday claims as the contract was made here in the UK), the legal representation is free to you and your family. If it is necessary to sue abroad then Thompsons will, where they can, advise on lawyers who may be able to help in that country.

Free legal advice on non-employment matters

CSP members can take advantage of a 30-minute free legal advice service from experienced advisors on any issue of law (except employment law, where you must contact your CSP steward or SNO). Examples of non-work related issues that may arise and be dealt with by Thompsons are consumer disputes, road rage incidents, and disputes between neighbours over garden fence boundaries.

Conveyancing

Please use the PDF document download link at the bottom of this page for a list of charges. Members and their families can take advantage of Thompsons' highly competitive conveyancing package when selling or buying your home or property.
