On the proposal for monthly publication of high-level NHS hospital and community health service workforce information for hospital doctors and non-medical staff.

The NHS Information Centre drives the use of information to improve decision making and deliver better care.

The aim is to identify those staff comprising the health and social care workforce, where they are deployed, how they move around and what they do.

Changes to the way workforce information is collected, processed, and released are proposed which will allow recent developments such as the electronic staff record to be used to improve this service.
