HPC registration renewal

HPC registration renewal forms are now being posted - look out for your envelope marked Important Document Enclosed.

You have until 30 April 2010 to fill the form in correctly, sign it and return to the HPC. Registrants must also send a payment with their renewal form unless a direct debit instruction is in place.

  • If you have changed address and you don't inform the HPC, or if you don't receive a form, you can request a new form by visiting their website: www.hpc-uk.org or by emailing registration@hpc-uk.org. Alternatively registrants can contact the registration team on 0845 3004 472, from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
  • If you need more information, see the new guidance on the HPC website:www.hpc-uk.org/registrants/renew

HPC's registration renewal statement

At the point of registration renewal, all registrants are asked whether or not they have continued to practise their profession since they last renewed.

For the purposes of renewing registration the Health Professions Council (HPC) defines 'practising your profession' as drawing on your professional skills and/or knowledge in the course of your work. Therefore, someone working in education, management, research or any occupational role should renew their registration.

Anyone using one of the protected titles must be registered with the HPC. Registrants should also be aware that being registered with HPC may be a condition of their employment.

Being registered reassures the public that registrants, irrespective of their role, meet our standards for their training, professional skills, behaviour and health.

CPD profile

If you receive a second envelope from the HPC in early February you have been selected to submit a profile of your CPD. See this as an opportunity to get up to date with your CPD portfolio to demonstrate how your CPD contributes to the quality of your practice and service. You have until the end of April to submit your profile, however early submissions will be appreciated.
