Joining fees
Newly qualified members pay a one-off joining fee of £20.00 when they first subscribe as a qualified member.
However, those who choose not to take up CSP student membership while studying, will be required to pay a higher joining fee of £195 to become a fully qualified member and gain chartered status.
A rejoining fee of £20.00 is payable for any qualified members who lapse and then rejoin.
Joining part way through a year
If you join after the start of the year, your cost will be calculated pro rata from the number of full or part months left in the year. For example, if you join in mid-April, you will be liable for nine months of subscription, or 9/12 of the annual cost.
CSP student membership subscription tariffs
| Programme length | CSP approved total tariff @ £32 per year |
CSP non-approved total tariff @ £40 per year |
|---|---|---|
| Two years | £64 | £80 |
| Three years | £96 | £120 |
| Four years | £128 | £160 |
* Please note: if you enrolled on a qualifying programme before 2007/8 and have not yet taken up membership, see information for previously enrolled students.
Notes for physiotherapy students
If you choose to defer applying for membership, you will still have to pay the full amount for the duration of your programme. It is therefore wise to take up membership from the earlier point and gain access to the support, services and resources it provides.
A £20 joining fee is payable when you become a qualified member. You then pay qualified subscription rates.
If you choose not to take up student membership, you will be required to pay a higher joining fee to the CSP when you graduate and seek qualified CSP membership (the fee will be £195, compared with £20).
Please see our application page for full information on the terms and conditions of student membership.
